Produced By Her is a youth documentary filmmaking program that inspires girls age 12 - 17 to share the stories of women though documentary filmmaking. We address the lack of representation of women in the media by prioritizing the stories of girls in the the LGBTQ community and girls of color. Under the creative direction of Kerri Lynne Thorp and In Partnership with Girls Inc of the Pacific Northwest and NW Documentary, Produced by Her creates a pro-girl environment where success is modeled through the mentorship professional women in media. We create an environment where the stories that girls want to tell are prioritized.
Join us, March 18, at the Clinton Street Theater for a wonderful evening, honoring and celebrating the stories of 7 young filmmakers who have spent their weekends at NW Documentary, creating their own original documentaries!
